Q: If I sold the item I made, can I still finish the quest?

A: Yes, as long as you did  the quest and have all items in your inventory even though it's not the one you made.

Q: Do I need to equip the item?
A: Not necessarily.

A: When the character who made it gets deleted, the item become's unnamed.
